During their individual activities, each member ended up starring in a drama which sparked their opportunity to release a solo song for the theme for their dramas. The two had starred together in a drama before called Nobuta wo Produce, where they also sang the theme song titled, Seishun Amigo. Their duet name was called Shuji to Akira. It was featured on their album they released together as a unit called Kame to YamaP.

The song was called Mikansei no Answer. While Mikansei no Answer was released as a single track, My Melody was not released until later on after their comeback.
